»Green Infrastructure 4 Green Future«
September 20 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Green infrastructure is a topic that is increasingly mentioned by the professionals and the media. What are we actually talking about? What is Green Infrastructure (GI)? Is it yet another ‘’green flicker’’ or the activities in this area really bring solutions towards a greener, sustainable society that builds on limited carrying capacity of the environment and respect for nature? Representatives of various organizations and project implementers from cross-border and transnational cooperation programs will present experiences and practice of planning and managing GI and how GI activities contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, as the core element of green infrastructure.
The event is intended for general and professional public. It will be implemented within EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) and its Action group for ecological connectivity, supported by the AlpGov project, organized by the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation and the Ministry of the Republic of Slovenia for the Environment and Spatial Planning.
